Economics Minister Al-Wazir takes a look at HIS Technology (formerly HIK GmbH)
OBERZENT, 22 AUGUST 2022 +++ Economy Minister Tarek Al-Wazir visits "companies that are somehow special" during his summer tour through the state, according to his own statement. With over 10 years of experience and as a leading provider in Europe on solar topics and renewable energy, HIS was also pleased to welcome his visit.
Since 2018, HIS has been undergoing a comprehensive digitization and automation process of almost all operational processes, which is supported and thus accelerated by a funding measure from the Hessian state government.
Among other things, HIS is a 360° solution provider, using the HISbox "SmartEnergy" to create a central unit for integrating the photovoltaic system into the home network, including storage connection, NA protection and interface for direct marketing. Thanks to the EVtap "EnergyHub", the EVtap wallboxes can also be used to further optimize self-consumption. Everything from a single source and tailored to the regionally different requirements for the grid connection.
The Hessian Minister of Economic Affairs, Al-Wazir, also wanted to see for himself and paid a visit for the occasion. Al-Wazir was shown around the company premises by the owners, Mirjam Walther-Brentrup and Berthold Brentrup, Managing Director Sebastian Holzer and Dominic Schulz, HIK Head of Sales & Engineering. Tarek Al-Wazir was particularly impressed by how the company's resource efficiency could be increased through the digitization of processes.
At HIS, alongside the company's future business orientation, sustainability measures such as CO2 reduction play a significant role in restructuring! For example, at the Oberzent site, the company already fully covers its annual electricity and heat demand, purely theoretically!
Berthold Brentrup explains: “The digitalization of our operational processes as a sustainability measure not only has a positive effect on the environment” and concludes: “Increased efficiency, reduced susceptibility to errors and resource savings provide a clear competitive advantage” – and are a good argument when it comes to convincing qualified specialists, adds Minister Al-Wazir.
This post was originally published under the brand HIK GmbH. Since the merger of HIK GmbH and HIS Renewables GmbH, both companies are now operating together under HIS Technology GmbH. The business areas are now operated under the names HIS Industries (formerly HIK Solutions) for industrial and cabling solutions, and HIS Renewables for solar and energy solutions. Therefore, earlier company and brand names may still be used in this post.
