How long has HIS Technology been active – and where?

The roots of HIS Technology go back several decades. While HIS builds on more than 20 years of experience in renewable energy and energy infrastructure, HIS Industries (HIK) brings more than 40 years of expertise in cable assembly, assembly manufacturing and control cabinet construction. Today, HIS Technology unites this know-how under a shared brand. From our location in Germany, we support customers across Europe and internationally with innovative solutions for energy and technology markets.

What benefits do string combiner boxes offer?

String combiner boxes bundle several PV strings and bring them together safely and efficiently. They perform important protection and monitoring functions within a photovoltaic system and help to increase the operational safety, ease of maintenance and performance of the entire installation. Thanks to their pre-assembled and standard-compliant design, installation effort and sources of error can be significantly reduced.

Which standards and certifications do the products meet?

Our products are developed and manufactured in accordance with the relevant national and international standards for energy and electrical engineering. Depending on the product and application area, they meet the requirements of applicable IEC, EN and DIN standards as well as project-specific certification requirements. We will gladly inform you on a product-specific basis about the standards, tests and certifications relevant in each case.

Do you manufacture from prototype to series?

Yes. HIS Renewables supports projects throughout the entire product life cycle – from development and prototype construction through pre-series to series production. By combining engineering competence, manufacturing expertise and project management, we can efficiently realise both individual one-off products and complex series projects. The focus is on quality, flexibility and close cooperation with our customers.

Yes. On request, HIS Industries realises complete system solutions – from planning and construction through wiring and labelling to testing and documentation. The systems are delivered ready for connection and are optimally prepared for fast and efficient commissioning.

Does HIS Industries manufacture prototypes and series?

Yes. HIS Industries supports projects from sample and prototype production through small series to large-scale series production. Thanks to standardised processes, we can respond flexibly to different quantities and project requirements.

How does HIS Industries ensure quality and standard compliance in cable assemblies?

Depending on the project, we take into account the relevant customer, industry and product specifications as well as, on request, standards and approvals such as UL or VDE. All manufactured cable assemblies undergo defined testing processes. We document the results transparently and, on request, make the corresponding test reports available.

Does the wiring set configurator support CAD and E-CAD data?

Yes. Common CAD and E-CAD data can be integrated into the configuration process. Bills of materials, lengths, cross-sections, colours and labelling are adopted and form the basis for efficient manufacturing – both for individual orders and for series production and repeat orders.

How does HIS Industries support smooth project handling?

In addition to manufacturing, on request we also handle material procurement, technical documentation as well as the labelling of components and assemblies. In this way, we create transparent processes and ensure the efficient implementation of your projects.

Does HIS Industries also support material procurement?

Yes. We handle the procurement of the required components and, if needed, advise on suitable alternative parts. In the event of supply bottlenecks, we coordinate possible alternatives closely with our customers in order to implement projects on schedule and economically.

Yes. HIS Technology processes common E-CAD and CAD data formats and integrates them into development, planning and manufacturing processes. By adopting technical data directly, projects can be implemented efficiently, coordination efforts reduced and high process reliability ensured. The supported formats and interfaces are agreed individually in each project.

Are there minimum order quantities?

The minimum order quantity depends on the respective solution, the product and the project requirements. HIS Technology handles both individual projects and prototypes as well as small and large series. We will gladly prepare an individual quotation for you that is tailored to your requirements and the respective project scope.

Does HIS Technology also offer support after project completion?

Yes. Even after a project has been completed, we remain at your side as a reliable partner. We provide support with technical questions, repeat orders, product adaptations, spare parts as well as the provision and updating of technical documentation.
