Energy solutions for commercial and industrial applications
From cabling and protection of the PV system to storage and charging infrastructure, we develop efficient solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Engineering know-how, project-specific design and personal support turn individual components into a system tailored to your requirements.

Safety in planning, cost-effectiveness in operation
For PV systems for businesses, the focus is on fire protection, operational safety and cost-effectiveness. Our system components are certified, matched to each other and configurable for each project – designed for permanently reliable operation.
We supply combiner boxes for the DC and AC side with protection, switching and monitoring functions. We also offer the matching DC cabling, from solar cables with connectors and splitters to pre-assembled cable harnesses ex works.
Configurable
Together with you, we configure the solution to suit your project, from country-specific standards and the fireman switch to monitoring.
Ready for use
Fully wired, factory-tested combiner boxes and solar cables with continuous metre marking make installation easy and get the system up and running quickly.
Cost-effective
Low-maintenance components with a long service life keep operating effort low. For larger projects, HISkon+ ALU additionally reduces DC cabling costs by up to 35 %.
Perfectly matched system components
Every component fits seamlessly into your plant concept – with string or central inverters and with common connector systems.
Highlights of our PV solutions
In the event of a fire, DC lines remain live as long as light falls on the modules – a risk for emergency services. The fireman switch integrated into the HISbox® disconnects the strings via emergency stop, automatically in the event of a power failure or temperature-controlled in the event of overheating. As soon as all safety conditions are met again, the system resumes operation automatically. It is tested according to EN 60947-3 and requires little maintenance.
Unnoticed faults in individual strings reduce yield without the system failing. HISbox® monitoring measures current, voltage and temperature per string and transmits the values via RS485, LoRa or WiFi so that deviations are noticed early. It is optional and can be retrofitted to existing HISbox® infrastructure.
HIKRA® SOL is tested according to EN 50618 and IEC 62930 and designed for system voltages up to 1500 V DC. UV- and weather-resistant, suitable for underground laying and with an expected service life of 25 years, it is made for continuous use. The continuous metre marking makes assignment easier during installation.
Copper is expensive and prices fluctuate. With HISkon+ ALU, you cleverly combine both: the strings remain in copper, while the collecting cables run in aluminium. Certified transition technology connects both types of conductor safely. This noticeably reduces the material costs of DC cabling. The advantage is particularly evident in large plants, where the collecting cables account for a considerable share of the total cable volume. Factory-assembled cable harnesses with matching connectors simplify installation and connection on the construction site.
The HISbox® is designed according to the project's inverter topology. For string inverters with several MPPTs, the multi-MPPT variant is available, with a fireman switch for up to 12 MPPTs with up to 8 strings each at a maximum of 80 A. For central inverters, the single-MPPT variant combines up to 16 strings at a maximum of 250 A.

Enquire nowFrequently asked questions
As early as possible. Standards, country-specific requirements and interfaces are incorporated into the engineering from the outset. The process ranges from the enquiry through engineering support and production to tested delivery ex works; for storage systems, grid connection and commissioning are added.
For storage, the location, grid connection, desired power and capacity as well as the planned applications are helpful, plus the load profile and overview circuit diagram, if available. For PV solutions, it is the number of strings, current, inverter topology and the target country. Technical details are optional for the initial enquiry; we clarify the rest together with you.
For commercial PV systems, a fireman switch is generally required by law; the requirements are regulated on a country-specific basis. In the HISbox® for commercial and industrial applications, it is integrated as standard and tested according to EN 60947-3. Please clarify in advance with the responsible grid operator which requirements apply to your project.
For string inverters with several MPPTs, the HISbox® is available as a multi-MPPT variant, and for central inverters as a single-MPPT variant. Which variant is suitable depends on the inverter, number of strings and current and is defined during engineering.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. The decisive factors are the load profile, PV generation, grid connection capacity, desired power, planned applications and the required duration of backup power. From this, we work with you to determine a project-specific range in kW and kWh.
No. Emergency power requires suitable inverter operation and a switching and protection concept for the critical loads. How long the supply lasts depends on the power of the loads, their starting currents and the usable energy of the storage system. We define the scope for each system.
