The HISbox product family comprises DC and AC combiner boxes for photovoltaic systems of every scale. From residential to commercial & industrial through to utility-scale projects, HIS offers suitable solutions for combining DC strings and distributing AC power.

DC Combiner Boxes
Fireman Switch: The fire safety switch extends DC combiner boxes with a central safety function for rooftop PV systems. It enables reliable DC disconnection in defined situations and, depending on the version, can also switch off and back on automatically via a motorised disconnector. In an emergency, the DC cables are selectively de-energised so that emergency responders can work safely and risks to people and buildings are effectively minimised.
HDC Disconnect Switches (CTS): As DC disconnect switches for industrial PV systems, HDC Disconnect Switches ensure a standards-compliant DC disconnection and thus make a significant contribution to plant safety. They combine several string outputs. DC circuits can be switched off in a controlled manner, which significantly reduces risks during operation as well as service and maintenance work.
Overvoltage Protection Boxes (SPD): Overvoltage Protection Boxes are PV combiner boxes with integrated DC surge protection at string level. They limit transient overvoltages in a targeted manner and thus reduce the electrical stress on connected components.

AC Combiner Boxes
Grid & Plant Protection (HNA / HECI): At the interface between the photovoltaic system and the public grid, reliable protection functions are crucial. Grid & Plant Protection systems with HNA technology monitor relevant grid parameters and ensure a standard-compliant shutdown in the event of deviations. This guarantees a safe grid connection and stable plant operation.
SCADA & Weather Stations: Robust measurement data is essential for transparent plant operation. SCADA systems and weather stations capture plant and environmental data in real time and make it centrally available. They form the basis for monitoring, analysis and data-driven operational management.
EMS Boxes: When energy flows are to be actively controlled, EMS boxes are used on the AC side of the plant. They take generation, consumption and grid requirements into account and enable a flexible, demand-oriented mode of operation. This allows efficiency potentials to be specifically exploited.
Backup Boxes: In the event of a grid outage, security of supply becomes especially important. Backup boxes enable a controlled switchover to a backup supply and secure the power supply of critical loads. This keeps operation stable even in exceptional situations.
Coffrets: Clear AC wiring is the basis for a safe and maintenance-friendly plant layout. Coffrets support structured cable routing and reliably protect electrical connections. This simplifies installation, service and long-term operation.
NSHV (low-voltage main distribution): For larger photovoltaic systems, central power distribution is required. The NSHV bundles feed-ins and outgoing circuits on the AC side and integrates defined switching and protection functions. This creates a scalable and robust AC infrastructure.
